Grymov - a figure in modern Russian cinematograph that is in many respects complex and controversial. Combining an artist's talent with subtle intuition and sense of current situation Grymov managed to achieve such a state of affairs that every his new work becomes not only an all-sufficient artistic phenomenon but the object of active discussion. In Grymov's opinion acting simultaneously both as the director and producer of The Strangers this film is about today and it's a trial to analyze it. Nowadays the problem of propagation of foreign culture is very acute. We have to carefully treat traditions and customs of other people and respect them. However the first step towards such understanding is to start respecting yourself.

Apart from cinema, television and advertising he works a lot in the field of photographing. His personal exhibitions several times became noticeable events of artistic seasons not only in Moscow but also in Germany (Hamburg). In December 2007 comes into the market his photo album "Better than easy" which comprises about 200 photo works made by Yuri Grymov over the last 15 years.
